I was asked to make a new truss rod cover for this Muckleroy bass. The old one was just 3-ply black pickguard material. I used a piece of cherry to custom make a new piece to match the other cherry highlights in the body.

This came to the shop looking good but not sounding up to its potential. Like most guitars, everything needed a slight adjustment and now it feels and sounds as good as it looks!
