Hi everyone! We want to shed light on a pressing issue in our community: food insecurity. It's real, and together we can make a difference!

We often ask ourselves how we can help? Currently The food bank of Western Mass services 199 food pantries and they are in need of your assistance.
Please share this events that will help the Food Bank but also our local Neighbors helping Neighbors food pantry.

On this Veterans Day, I want to take a moment to express my heartfelt gratitude to all the brave men and women who have served our country. Your sacrifices and dedication have given us the freedoms we cherish every day. A special thank you to my dad, my father-in-law, my brother-in-law, and so many other family members for your service and unwavering commitment. I am also deeply grateful for all the veterans from the Commonwealth and the Second Hampshire District. Your courage and selflessness inspire us all. Thank you for everything you have done and continue to do for our nation!

Innovative tech demands innovative policy.

Today I testified in strong support of Bill H.1946, which would regulate facial recognition technology in Massachusetts.

Without safeguards, this tech enables mass surveillance without consent, suppresses free speech, and misidentifies women and people of color.

Your face is not a password — you cannot reset it. That makes misuse permanent, and the harms irreversible.

We need laws that keep pace with technology

Grateful to the ACLU, Javier Luengo, and Kade Crawford for their leadership in exposing these risks and advocating for policies that prioritize accountability, fairness, and justice.

The FY2026 Budget delivers major investments in education, housing, transportation, and healthcare—without raising taxes—so that we can grow the economy and support communities statewide.

With federal uncertainty ahead, we are emphasizing long-term sustainability and the security of core services that protect the state's most vulnerable.

Massachusetts continues to lead, and this budget keeps us fiscally responsible, socially focused, and economically competitive.

I had the honor of attending JoElyn Bookman’s retirement party after 31 incredible years in human resources at South Hadley Public Schools.

As part of the festivities, I had the privilege of presenting her with a citation from the State House, recognizing her dedication to public education.

Thank you, JoElyn, for your unwavering commitment to SHPS! You will be greatly missed, and your legacy will continue to inspire. Wishing you all the best in your well-deserved retirement! 🎉
