Supervisor Sara Wall Bollinger and I share a deep commitment to the residents of our town. We understand both the challenges of public service and the importance of listening to and respecting the needs of our community. We also recognize our responsibility to be thoughtful stewards of taxpayer resources.
When it comes to emergency services, the expectations of our residents are both high and straightforward: when someone calls for help, they want trained professionals to respond quickly and effectively in their time of need — regardless of the name on the vehicle or the logo on the uniform.
We are committed to an open, transparent, and collaborative process that engages all stakeholders as we explore the most efficient, consistent, and sustainable emergency service model possible. One that provides equitable coverage for everyone who lives, works, and visits our town.
I am excited to begin this important conversation and planning process alongside our partners from all three villages, fire department staff unions, and our volunteer fire department member associations.
