Tonight I’m at Bold Point Park for the Rhody Food Truck Events Kick Off to Labor Day Community Fest! Great food, live music, local vendors, and a fantastic crowd enjoying a beautiful night along the East Providence waterfront.

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again — if it’s happening in Ward 2, I’ll be there!

Events like this are what make our community such a great place to live, and I love seeing so many people out enjoying everything East Providence has to offer.

The fun is going until 11 PM, so there’s still time to come on down!

Another great night out knocking doors and talking with neighbors across Ward 2! 🚪

One of my favorite parts of this campaign has been getting the chance to meet people right at their doorstep, hear what’s on their minds, and have real conversations about the future of our city.

Thank you to everyone who took a few minutes to chat tonight, and to everyone who has welcomed me throughout this campaign. Every conversation, concern, idea, and word of encouragement means a lot.

There’s no substitute for showing up, listening, and putting in the work. Looking forward to many more doors and conversations ahead!

As students head back to the classroom, please remember to give yourself a little extra time on the roads, slow down in school zones, and keep an eye out for students walking and crossing the street.

Wishing all of our East Providence students, teachers, staff, and families a safe, successful, and exciting school year ahead! 🍎✏️

Good luck on the first day, and let’s make it a great year!

P.S. A friendly reminder — with school back in session, speed cameras in our school zones are active again, too! Drive safe!

A great Sunday spent out and about in East Providence!

I started the day at the 4th Annual Cops & Rodders Car Show, sponsored by the East Providence Police Department at moo.com. It was great seeing so many families and community members come out, check out some incredible cars, and enjoy the afternoon together. A big thank you to EPPD, Moo Inc., and everyone involved in putting the event together!

From there, I headed over to Crescent Park for the RI Folk Fest. Great music, a beautiful setting along the waterfront, and another fantastic crowd enjoying everything our community has to offer.

Two very different events, but both great examples of the energy and community spirit that make East Providence such a special place. I’m glad I had the chance to experience a little bit of both today!

What an incredible night!

Tonight's campaign fundraiser was a HUGE success, and I am truly overwhelmed by the support I received. The room was packed with family, friends, coworkers, and members of our community who are ready for change and excited about the future of East Providence.

To everyone who attended, donated, volunteered, shared the event, or supported me in any way: thank you, thank you, THANK YOU! Your encouragement and belief in this campaign mean more to me than I can put into words.

The energy in that room was undeniable, and it made one thing clear: people are ready for leadership that listens, shows up, and puts our community first. I left the event more energized and determined than ever to keep working for the residents of Ward 2.

Here are a few photos from an evening I will never forget. Thank you for standing with me as we continue Building a Stronger East Providence Together!

P.S. A HUGE thank you to everyone at Riviera Restaurant for making the evening run so seamlessly—especially when we needed to add a few last-minute tables and chairs to accommodate the incredible turnout!

While visiting São Miguel for my best friend’s wedding, I had the opportunity to stay in Vila Franca do Campo—East Providence’s sister city.

Although I’ve visited São Miguel many times and have been to Vila Franca before, staying there allowed me to experience it from a different perspective. I had more time to appreciate the community, its traditions, and the way of life that makes Vila Franca do Campo such a special place.

Seeing this commemorative plaque recognizing the bond between our two communities made me especially proud to call East Providence home. I’m grateful that such a special occasion brought me back to this beautiful place and gave me an even greater appreciation for the connection we share. 🇵🇹🇺🇸
