🎧Hey EP! Homecoming is coming up this weekend, and we are here to share some safety tips to ensure a fun and safe weekend, and that City Park will be available for photos under certain conditions. 📸
📣Safety:
Plan your ride home before you leave. Whether you are having a parents or guardian pick you up, going to dinner with friends after the dance, or headed home with your friends, make sure to plan your ride or after dance plans beforehand to prevent confusion later.
Keep communication open. Be sure to keep your parent, guardian or friends updated throughout the evening by sending a quick text when arriving or leaving that is simple, and gives those who care about you peace of mind that the night is going well.
Respect those around you. Homecoming is a night for memories and fun. Be mindful of those around you and be sure to encourage respect, kindness and be aware of your surroundings.
Be safe if you are driving or riding bikes and scooters. If you are driving to homecoming, have friends with you in the car, or are arriving individually on two wheels, be sure to slow down, stay alert, avoid distractions, and follow all traffic laws.
‼️While the East Palestine Park is closed for the Day of September 19th for the 2nd Annual Kevin Baird Music Festival, we recognize that Homecoming is a similarly important event for youth in our community. We wanted to ensure that people planning to take photos inside the park for Homecoming are still welcoming to enter the park, take photos, etc. They will simply need to notify the individuals at the entrance when they drive into the park. Please keep in mind that parking may be limited, and be courteous of those around you.
