She has voted alongside me in every election, and today she voted for her mom. οΏΌπŸ—³οΈ

No matter the outcome of today's election, this HAS always been and WILL always be enough. πŸ‘©β€β€οΈβ€πŸ‘©

We teach our children to be the change that they wish to see.
We teach them to stand up for what they believe in.
We teach them to advocate for others.

I'm proud to have done that during this campaign, and I will continue to do that tomorrow.

Good luck to all candidates today, and I'll see you at the polls. πŸ—³οΈ πŸͺ§

Drop your "I voted "stickers and pictures below. πŸ‘‡ And thank you, for everything. 🫢

TODAY IS THE DAY πŸŽ‰

In small town elections, your vote DOES matter.

In previous elections, some candidates were elected on just a handful of votes. 😳

Please make time to vote today! Polls are open from 7 AM - 8 PM. If you're unsure of your polling location, send me a message! I'll help. 🫢

Please text your friends and family in town, and ask them to vote too.

Post pics your "I voted" stickers below! We will see you out there at the polls. πŸŽ‰πŸ—³οΈ

Many people have asked me why I'm running for school committee. πŸ““

First and foremost, I'm a mother to two school-age children, and I want to ensure that they have access to the incredible education that they deserve. πŸ‘§πŸ‘¦

But after that, it's for reasons like this ⬇️

This clip specifically draws attention to the fact that our teachers were not included in the evaluation process for the superintendent, and while this is a horrible oversight on the part of our school committee, I'm more concerned with the theme it represents. πŸ‘©β€πŸ«

I've heard too often over the past several months how our teachers are not involved in the decision-making processes in our district.

In this instance, it's the administration's evaluation, but before that it was curriculum, and report cards, and the use of buildings. Next week, if nothing changes, it will be something else.

The people directly responsible for carrying out the objectives of the district, the people responsible for fulfilling the goals set by the school committee and the administration, the people we trust to facilitate the best learning environment for our children - are not consulted in the decision making process OR when they are included, it's too late in the process to provide meaningful feedback.

Now, I admire our teachers. I trust them. We are so incredibly fortunate to have highly educated, experienced, passionate staff in our district.

I believe ALL stakeholders should have a seat at the table when decisions are being made, but at the very least - our teachers should have a say.

That's one reason why I'm running: as a communications professional and an executive who synthesizes varying stakeholder input everyday, I want to help break down these barriers to communication and ensure that everyone in our district has a voice.

If you agree, I hope you'll consider me for your vote tomorrow.

Polls are open from 7:00 AM - 8:00 PM, and it takes less than three minutes to grab your ballot, fill your bubbles and VOTE for change. πŸ—³οΈ
