* New Series *

The Jo Jo Makoons series is a warm, funny early chapter book collection following an energetic young Ojibwe girl as she navigates school, family, friendships, and everyday adventures. With colorful illustrations, relatable kid-centered humor, and joyful representation, the series is a great choice for emerging readers, in 1st & 2nd grade, ready for short chapters and lively stories. (Recommended by a 2nd grade teacher - her students LOVE this series!)

The weather may keep us guessing, but it's spring and time to start thinking about gardens. Our Free Little Seed Library is out and ready to share this week. We welcome any donations of seed packets as well.

A new Throwback Thursday post for a New Year! Last time we left off with our 1995 addition to the building. We also had a space added on the backside of the building in the early 2000s. Often visitors are shocked at how big our space is compared to how it looks on the outside.

"Another building update followed in 2003, adding another room that nearly doubled the size of the library again."

This space currently holds our non-fiction, YA, and biography collections. It's also the go-to space for DVDs and other media. Thank you to all of the volunteers and community members who contributed to the building of that final addition!
