As May comes to an end, we want to also take the time to talk about maternal mental health.

Perinatal mental health disorders can affect anyone during pregnancy or postpartum, and support is available. Raising awareness helps reduce stigma and reminds parents that they do not have to navigate these challenges alone.

If you or someone you know may be struggling, reaching out for support is a key. Talk to your healthcare provider, therapist, faith leader, or other trusted people for support.

In recognition of Mental Health Awareness Month, we want to remind everyone that mental health affects us all, and taking time to care for your well-being matters. 💚

Self-care isn’t one-size-fits-all. It’s about finding simple, meaningful ways to recharge, stay connected, and build resilience, even during tough times. Small steps can make a big difference, and you deserve that care every day. ✨

Only you can define what a “good day” looks like to you. Let’s have more good days, together.

We’ve seen an increase in gas and electric dirt bikes on the trails lately, so here’s a friendly reminder:

Only pedal-assist e-bikes that meet Class 1, 2, or 3 standards are allowed on Duluth’s multi-use, natural surface trails.
E-motos like SurRons and any bike *without* functional cranks and pedals are not permitted. Their higher speeds and weights pose serious safety risks and can damage the trail system. This is a ordinance that applies to all trails.
Electric Motorcycles are allowed on designated off highway vehicle trails like the Nemadji State Forest OHV Trails south of Duluth.
If you see violations, please report them to the Duluth Police Department

Thanks for helping keep our trails safe and sustainable.
Enjoy the beautiful spring riding!

🤝 VOLUNTEERS NEEDED — HELP KEEP HIBBING BEAUTIFUL! ♻️

Our 4th Annual Community Clean-Up Days are coming June 5 & 6, and we’re looking for community volunteers to help make this event another huge success!

Last year, residents came together to remove more than 141,000 pounds of debris and unwanted materials from our neighborhoods — a true testament to Hibbing pride and the power of neighbors helping neighbors.

Now we’re asking our community to step up once again. We’re looking for volunteers to:
✅ Help residents unload materials
✅ Assist senior citizens and residents without hauling means
✅ Support cleanup efforts in blight-affected neighborhoods
✅ Direct traffic and keep event areas organized
✅ Encourage community pride and beautification efforts

Whether you can help for a few hours or the full day, your time can make a real difference in helping keep Hibbing clean, safe, and beautiful.

This is more than a cleanup event — it’s a community pride initiative:
📅 June 5 & 6
⏰ 8 AM to 4 PM
📍 Volunteer according to YOUR schedule
👫 Better yet, sign-up with your work crew, civic group or circle of friends!

Interested? Let us know when you’re available at https://www.hibbingmn.gov/FormCenter/PBA-13/Volunteer-Form-Community-CleanUp-Days-20-91

Let’s work to revitalize our neighborhoods and continue making a difference together!
