In honor of Recovery Month, we are hosting our third annual hygiene supply drive in support of our local harm reduction and recovery organizations.

Through the month of September, we will be collecting new & unused hygiene items including toothbrushes, toothpaste, mouthwash, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, deodorant, feminine hygiene products, hand sanitizer, lotion, etc.

Donations can be dropped off at any of our 4 Government Services Centers (Hibbing, Virginia, Ely or Duluth). Any organizations interested in collecting donations, reach out to Public Health at 218-725-5210.

📚 OK, HIBBING … THIS TIME WE’RE SURE. 😉

We are officially ready to welcome you back!

After a little more time than anticipated was needed to get our site back in order following recent abatement work, the doors are ready to reopen TOMORROW (Wednesday, Sept. 2).

And yes — we checked twice this time.

We sincerely appreciate your patience, flexibility and good humor throughout the extended closure (and our brief reopening false alarm!). We know how much our community values the Library, and we wanted to make sure the space was truly ready before welcoming everyone back.

There is still more exciting work ahead as the renovation continues, including ADA restroom improvements and the creation of a new Technology Hub — but for now:

Come on back. We’re open. We mean it this time.

Reminders as you head down to the fair!

🥵🪭 Stay cool and hydrated at the ! A day at the Fair can mean lots of walking, time outdoors and plenty of fun. Follow these Survival Guide tips to beat the heat and stay hydrated:

💧 Drink water throughout the day
☀️ Take breaks in shaded or air-conditioned areas
🧢 Wear lightweight clothing, a hat, and sunscreen
🥤 Bring a refillable water bottle and use water refill stations

Plan ahead, take breaks when you need them, and make the most of your Fair experience! 🎡
