Built in 1895 as the La Porte Telephone Company, this historic building once connected the community through conversation. Today, it connects people through creativity.

Now home to the La Porte County Public Library's makerspace, the restored building is filled with tools that empower patrons to create whatever they can imagine. Throughout the makerspace, Maker Tables support sewing, 3D printing, and more. With adjustable heights and a flip/nesting design, the tables can be easily reconfigured to accommodate different projects, activities, and group sizes.
