SeDoMoCha Stageworks is excited to announce auditions for School of Rock! 🤘

⭐ Grades: 1–8
📅 Auditions: Sept. 15 & 17
⏰ 3:00–5:00 PM in Mr. Murray’s room
🎤 Prepare a song and be ready to sing! Students only need to attend ONE audition.

Our fourth graders have been busy learning, collaborating, and having a little fun along the way!

🤝 Students in Mrs. Richard's class partnered up for a creative challenge designed to put their teamwork skills to the test. Each pair was given a red Solo cup “boat,” a gummy worm named Sam, a gummy Life Saver, and two paper clips. Working together, they had to move the Life Saver and place it around Sam—without knocking him into the “water” (their desks)! 🌊🍬 It took communication, problem-solving, and plenty of teamwork!

🐢 Mrs. Bozzelli's fourth graders also kicked off the year with the read-aloud Tales of a Fourth Grade Nothing. To make their reading experience even more special, students received their very own “Dribble” turtles to keep them company during read-aloud time. The students are already enjoying the book and having their turtle companions along for the journey! 📖💚

What a fun way to begin the school year! 🦅❤️

This week, the Maine Historical Society is excited to showcase one of the 26 surviving copies of the Dunlap Broadside of the Declaration of Independence at the Jim Robinson Field House at Foxcroft Academy. This historic document was printed in Philadelphia on July 4, 1776, to announce American independence to the Colonies.

As part of a three-day event, a special commemorative gathering will be held on Friday night, September 4th, from 5:00 to 6:30 PM at the Jim Robinson Field House. This event will feature remarks from the Honorable Judge Kevin Stitham and Steve Bromage, Director of the Maine Historical Society. The Tri-County Technical Center Color Guard will present the colors, and students will read excerpts from the Declaration of Independence. Light refreshments will be served. This event is open to the public and promises to be a wonderful celebration of America’s 250th Anniversary right here in Piscataquis County. Join us for this special occasion!

SeDoMoCha Elementary Car Pick-Up🚘

SeDoMoCha families, we are making a few adjustments to our afternoon car pick-up process to help keep dismissal safe, organized, and moving as smoothly as possible.

Parents/guardians of students in grades K–4 should enter the pick-up line at the black stanchions located at the front entrance of the school and remain in the designated line.

When you reach the teacher on duty, please be ready to provide your child’s: Name | Grade Level | Teacher’s Name

Students will be called in the following order:
1st – Kindergarten
2nd – Grades 3 & 4
3rd – Grades 2 & 1

We appreciate everyone’s patience and cooperation as we work to make dismissal safe and efficient for all of our students and families.

Safety will always come before speed. Thank you for helping us keep our SeDoMoCha Eagles safe! 🦅

✨And just like that...the first three days of school are in the books! 📚

Our favorite Eagle, Ernest, was out bright and early on the first day of school to welcome our Eagles back-and judging from these smiles, he was a pretty popular guy!

From first-day hugs to getting back into the school routine, it’s been wonderful having our Eagles back in the building. 📚✏️ We’re looking forward to all the learning, growing, and memories this school year will bring!
