Please help us welcome a familiar face into a new role at Austin. We are beyond excited to announce, Ms. Houston is our new AP.

Ms. Houston starts the year with 12 years in education, including two years as our Evaluation and Assessment Coordinator, she is deeply committed to a student- and staff-first approach driven by clear communication and mutual respect.

Her passion for student growth is backed by extensive experience in the classroom, teaching 6th and 8th-grade English Language Arts as well as 8th-grade Georgia Studies.

Beyond her role in education, she is the proud mother of three amazing children—Brynlee (11), Adalee (8), and Huxley (3)—and is expecting another little boy, Jett, in September!

The Paulding Education Foundation Golf Classic will be held August 17th. They are looking for teams and sponsors for the event. Please help us welcome Mrs. Mace, who will serve as our new Assistant Principal for the 2026-2027 school year.

Mrs. Mace began her career in 1998 as a high school Spanish teacher in West Virginia. After relocating to Georgia in 2004, she continued her work with the Paulding County School District, where she served for 11 years as a Spanish teacher and Connections Department Chair at Herschel Jones Middle School. In 2014, she transitioned into school leadership as the Evaluation and Assessment Coordinator at Dobbins Middle School, where she developed extensive experience supporting high-quality instruction and advancing student achievement.

Mrs. Mace would like everyone to know, "I look forward to building meaningful relationships with the students, staff, and families of Austin Middle School and working collaboratively to foster a positive, inclusive, and equitable learning environment for all."
