Ford County Emergency Communications Dispatch for Ford, Edwards, Hodgeman, and Lane County Emergency Services

06/04/2026

Today, we honor and remember Firefighter/Paramedic William Cory “Liam” Price, a man who dedicated his life to serving and protecting the citizens of Ford County. Liam served with Ford County Fire & EMS since 2018 and made the ultimate sacrifice after suffering a medical emergency while on duty. His commitment, courage, and selfless service will never be forgotten.

A firefighter’s legacy is not measured by years alone, but by the lives touched, the emergencies answered, and the difference made in countless moments of need. Liam answered that call with honor and dedication.

As we reflect on his service, we ask our community to keep his family, friends, and fellow first responders in your thoughts and prayers. May we never forget the sacrifice he made and the example he set for all of us.

Rest easy, Liam. Your watch is over. We have it from here. ❤️🖤🚒

It was a great pleasure to have a deputy sit in with our shifts and get a firsthand look at how dispatch works. There were a lot of great questions asked on both sides — and plenty of laughs too!

Thank you so much, Lane County Undersheriff Knoll, for taking the time to spend with us. We truly appreciate the opportunity to learn from one another and strengthen teamwork between dispatch and the sheriff’s office!

Today, I make my last post on International Firefighters Day as the Chief of Ford County Fire & EMS. As I look back through the years, I can't help but think about those who have come before me. The mentors, friends and, co-workers who helped shape who I am today. Then, I think about the those currently serving the Citizens of Ford County. The dedication, commitment, professionalism and, pride that these people take in their job is astounding to me. I have been blessed with an amazing career and wouldn't be were I'm at today without both past and present Firefighters. As we recognize these brave men and women on International Firefighters Day, I just want to say thank you. Thank you for answering the call every single day without hesitation. Thank you for holding the hand of someone who is having their worst day. Thank you for holding the line, no matter what. Just, Thank you. Chief
