Wear ALL your Trojan gear — jerseys, shirts, maroon, gold… pile it on and show your WCMS pride! We’re ready to fill the gym with energy, school spirit, and a whole lot of TROJAN PRIDE!

As the month of August wraps up, we’re looking back at some of the moments that made the beginning of our school year so special! From hands-on activities and teamwork to meaningful conversations, new friendships, and plenty of smiles, our Trojans have already been busy learning, growing, and finding their rhythm. August may be coming to an end, but the learning is just getting started! We can’t wait to see all that our students accomplish in the months ahead. Here’s to a great start and an even better year ahead!

A BIG thank you to Mama J’s Coffee for the delicious iced coffee delivery today! 🤎
Our WCMS staff definitely appreciated the midweek pick-me-up, and the variety of flavors made it even sweeter! Every cup was absolutely delicious and just what we needed to power through the rest of the week. Thank you, Mama J’s, for thinking of our staff and treating us today! We are so grateful for our wonderful community and the businesses that show our schools so much love.

🎉🎂 August Birthdays at WCMS! 🎂🎉
Today we’re celebrating our wonderful WCMS staff members with August birthdays! We hope your special day has been—or will be—filled with plenty of happiness, laughter, and of course, CAKE! Help us wish Anita Rutherford, Hannah Major, Tayler Knight, and Mary Beth Tapp a very HAPPY BIRTHDAY! We hope this next year brings each of you plenty of reasons to celebrate! We are so thankful for each of you and all you do for our students and our WCMS family.

WCMS, it’s time to show off that Trojan pride! Tomorrow is Maroon 5 Day, so we’re encouraging everyone to wear MAROON and help us fill the halls with school spirit! Whether it’s a WCMS shirt, your favorite maroon outfit, or just a touch of maroon, let’s show what it means to be UNITED FOR KIDS and proud to be TROJANS!

Mrs. Hughes’ class is already putting their skills to the test! Students worked together to solve Hypothesis Cubes, building the communication, collaboration, and critical-thinking skills they’ll need as they tackle 8th grade math this year. We love seeing our Trojans thinking, discussing, problem-solving, and working together!

The halls were buzzing, classrooms were full of energy, friendships were reunited, and new connections were made as we officially kicked off the 2026-2027 school year at Webster County Middle School! From welcoming our newest Trojans and catching up with familiar faces to learning classroom routines, enjoying time with friends, shooting some hoops, and sharing lunch together, it was a day filled with excitement, laughter, and plenty of memories in the making. We are so thankful for our amazing students, staff, and families who help make WCMS such a special place. This is just the beginning, and we cannot wait to see all the learning, growth, accomplishments, and unforgettable moments that this school year will bring! Here’s to a year of new opportunities, big goals, lasting friendships, and being UNITED FOR KIDS every step of the way!
