🚨 WEATHER CLOSURE NOTICE 🚨

Due to the freezing weather, the Acadia Parish Police Jury will be closing all departments on Monday, January 26.

🗑️ IMPORTANT – TRASH COLLECTION UPDATE
There will be NO trash pickup on Monday.
➡️ ALL trash collections will be pushed back ONE DAY for the week.

This decision is being made to ensure the safety of our employees and the safety of Waste Connections employees.

Please stay safe, stay warm, and take precautions during this cold weather, Acadia Parish. ❄️🧤

If you’re trash did not get picked up today, please leave it at the road and they will pass tomorrow. One of the trucks had an issue today.

There will be NO garbage service on Thanksgiving Day, Thursday, November 27, 2025.

Thursday routes will run on Friday, November 28
Friday routes will run on Saturday, November 29

🔥Police Jury President Beau Petitjean has issued a burn ban for Acadia Parish due to dry conditions affecting the parish and surrounding areas.

Effective immediately, all outdoor burning activities are prohibited throughout Acadia Parish.

The only exception allowed is the use of BBQ grills. No other types of outdoor burning are permitted under this order.

This burn ban will remain in effect until further notice and will be rescinded only when conditions improve.

ACADIA PARISH- LA 91 (Estherwood Highway) at the Estherwood Pontoon Bridge, will be closed Thursday, September 11, from 8:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., weather permitting.
This closure is necessary to allow crews to perform bridge maintenance repairs.
Emergency vehicles will not have access to the area and should seek alternate routes.

The Acadia Parish Landfill will be closed to the public on Monday, September 1st and will wil re-open on Tuesday, September 2nd.⭐️
