πŸš” Follow-Up Investigation – June 16 Rifle Recovery πŸš”

On June 16, 2026, after receiving calls from the community about a suspicious occupied vehicle in the 6700 block of Halleck Street, DHPD responded and recovered a rifle.

Following the investigation, officers identified the suspect and on June 17, 2026, obtained an arrest warrant after learning the suspect is a convicted felon prohibited from possessing a firearm.

There is no known threat to the community at this time.

πŸš” ARREST MADE IN APRIL 30 SHOOTING INVESTIGATION πŸš”

On April 30, 2026, District Heights Police responded to a non-contact shooting in the 6610 block of District Heights Parkway.

Through the course of the investigation, officers identified a suspect and obtained an arrest warrant.
This evening, at approximately 8:00 PM, officers took the suspect into custody without incident.

The District Heights Police Department remains committed to protecting our community and ensuring those responsible for criminal activity are held accountable.

We appreciate the continued support and cooperation of our residents as we work together to keep District Heights safe.

Our officers enjoyed connecting with students, staff, and families while building positive relationships and strengthening the bond between law enforcement and the community we serve.
