Please help spread the word, come and have your voices heard. The subsistence hearing will take place on August 12 from 4:00-8:00pm at the Dillingham Elementary School. Dinner will be served.

📣 Join the Conversation in Dillingham!

The Alaska Federation of Natives (AFN) invites Tribal leaders, Elders, subsistence harvesters, youth, natural resource staff, and community members to participate in our "Guided by Community Voices: Subsistence Listening Sessions."

Your voice matters as we gather perspectives from communities across Alaska on the future of subsistence. These sessions are an opportunity to share your experiences, discuss the challenges and priorities facing your community, and help identify the principles that should guide future conversations about subsistence management.

📅 Wednesday, August 12, 2026
🕙 4:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.
📍 Dillingham High School Gym

Our goal is to listen, learn, and ensure community voices are at the center of this important statewide conversation.

Can't attend or want to share additional thoughts? An online comment form will be available through September 30 at https://nativefederation.org/2026-afn-subsistence-listening-sessions/.

We hope to see you in Dillingham!
