Attention Winchell drivers in Depoe Bay! Please note that a small section of Winchell Street between Anchor Estates loop is closed over the weekend. The contractor is doing some work for the connections for the homes and ran into a small issue; however, the surface is thin enough we are concerned about cars driving over it even with a metal plate over the surface. They'll fix and open Monday. Please call City Hall at 541-765-2361 if you have questions. Thanks!

Please note that while the boat launch ramp was closed today, the only reason it was closed is because the ocean was bad enough folks weren't going out. However, starting right now, per direction from Jim Rice, the expert on stranding, etc. we are going to cone near the seal and open the ramp. Please, please be considerate and don't interact with the seal. Thank you!!!

Over the past year, there have been a lot of conversation on Facebook about City decisions and priorities. The good news? We have several open positions on our Harbor Commission, Parks & Recreation Committee, Urban Renewal Agency, Budget Committee, and more.

If you care about the direction of our community, this is your opportunity to step forward and be part of the process.

Strong communities aren’t built from the sidelines — they’re built by people willing to serve.
