CALL TO ACTION 

STOP TRUMP’S ATTACKS ON HAITIAN IMMIGRANTS
DEFEND TPS! NO DEPORTATIONS! 

The Legalization For All Network (L4A) condemns Trump’s racist attacks against Haitian immigrants in Ohio who are being summoned by the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) to wear ankle monitors until their deportation hearing or be deported immediately. We call on member organizations and allies of the immigrant community to rally in defense of Haitian immigrants.

On June 25, the Trump administration terminated Temporary Protected Status (TPS)—provides protection from deportation, work authorization, and travel permission—for Haitian and Syrian immigrants following a far-right ruling from the U.S. Supreme Court (Mullin v. Doe) where 6 of the 9 judges voted to allow Trump to terminate this status for the two immigrant communities 

Within a day, 300,000 Haitian and Syrian immigrants became undocumented and at risk for deportation.

We call on allies in the immigrants rights movement to stand in solidarity with Haitian and Syrian immigrants to hit the streets, no deportations and defend TPS against Trump's racist attacks.

Next Wednesday (8/19), the Centennial Protesters will be hosting the Weekly Vigil at the Aurora GEO Detention Facility! Join us as the protesters connect the conditions we’re seeing inside the facility, to the broader struggle of political repression in the immigrant rights movement.

Come out to learn more about the increase in repression we’re seeing across organizing movements, and some ways that you can support our local freedom fighters who are being targeted for their activism. Protesting is not a crime, stand with our community against this injustice today!

¡El próximo miércoles (19 de agosto), los Manifestantes del Centennial organizarán la Vigilia Semanal en el Centro de Detención Aurora GEO! Únase a nosotros mientras los manifestantes conectan las condiciones que estamos viendo dentro de la instalación, con la lucha más amplia de la represión política en el movimiento por los derechos de los inmigrantes.

We are proud to stand with the Centennial Protesters who were wrongfully arrested for standing up against the illegal ICE terror being perpetrated our communities, along with the despicable conditions at the Aurora GEO Detention Facility. Protesting is not a crime and we must be willing to fight against this injustice!

On Monday, August 18th AND Monday, August 24th, we will be calling on our community to contact District Attorney, Amy Padden, ALL-DAY to demand that the protesters’ state charges are dropped! Join the organizing community for the next two weeks as we demand justice for Terry Burnsed, Arnie Carter, Yoselin Corrales, and El!
