Town of Superior, Colorado - Government Welcome to the official page of the Town of Superior, Colorado! Glad You're Here! It grew from about 250 people in 1990 to nearly 12,000 today.

The Town of Superior is a statutory town located in southeast Boulder County. It boast grand open space and close proximity to Boulder and Denver. Superior's history is one of coal mining. From 1987 through 2006 approximately 2,700 single-family homes and 1,800 multi-family homes have been developed. Future development plans of the Town include commercial development, retail development, multi-family residential units, and single family homes. The Town is approximately four square miles in area has 540 acres of park and open space, 25 miles of trails and two outdoor pools. There is one elementary school and one K-8 school. Superior’s residents are well-educated, largely professional people who value its natural setting, advantageous location and outdoor activities.
