The Colorado Heart Gallery is both a website and a traveling photography display dedicated to finding caring adults for our waiting children. It is a collaboration among the Colorado Department of Human Services, Raise the Future, counties throughout the state, and generous professional photographers who donate their time, talent, and materials to help find families for children and youth. The Col

orado Heart Gallery is one of Colorado’s most effective ways to find families for children and teens. We welcome your comments to the Colorado Heart Gallery page. Please note that the comments expressed on the page do not reflect the opinions and position of CDHS or our employees. If you have any questions concerning this page, please contact the CDHS Communications Team at [email protected]. Comments that are clearly off-topic from the related post will be deleted. Now in its fourth year of serving kin, Be the Source remains deeply committed to providing meaningful support services to families navigating child welfare.

Recognizing that legal advice and education are among the top needs voiced by kinship providers, Be the Source is excited to offer three FREE Legal Clinics this September to support Colorado kinship caregivers! 💼⚖️

Key Details for Participants:

Focus Areas: The clinics specifically focus on issues directly pertaining to kinship care, such as kinship rights, intervention, guardianship, Allocation of Parental Responsibilities (APR), Relative Guardianship Assistance Program (RGAP), and Power of Attorney.

Scope Limits: Participating attorneys are unable to assist with non-kinship care topics (e.g., benefits issues, legal status issues, or housing concerns).

Eligibility: Child welfare involvement is not required to participate.
