Our favorite principal, Mr. Wax, the 2025 Louisiana State Principal of the Year, had an incredible week at the Louisiana Teacher Leader Summit! 💜💛

He was interviewed for a radio show, delivered two presentations, served as co-emcee for more than 7,400 educators, and still found time to have some fun along the way.

Thank you for representing DSJH and Livingston Parish with excellence. We are proud to call you our principal!

Today we celebrate Ms. Welsch and her incredible career of serving and inspiring students. Over the years, she has touched the lives of countless students, and we are so thankful for the impact she made at DSJH. 💜💛

While we will miss her greatly, we are excited for her as she begins this new chapter of life. Wishing you a retirement filled with joy, relaxation, and many new adventures!

Addison shared how the leadership and STEM opportunities she experienced through Project Lead The Way and Aquaponics at DSJH helped shape her future goals:

“Because I started off with these leadership skills and STEM skills at such a young age, in both Project Lead The Way and Aquaponics, I know it will help me as I continue to pursue STEM learning in high school and college.”

This is a huge accomplishment and a direct reflection of the leadership and commitment to creating meaningful, hands-on opportunities for our students.

What an incredible year it has been at DSJH! From classrooms and competitions to pep rallies, performances, and unforgettable memories, this year was truly “3 Years of Awesome” in action. 💜💛
