Halloween Party, say hello to your Delaware, Ohio Police Department officers! 🎃☕️ at the "Coffee with a Cop" event hosted by The First Citizens National Bank, 33 W. William St. It runs 9-11 am and is a great way to meet the people behind the badge ... and score some Halloween goodies!

Here's a little about me and why I'm running for re-election to Delaware City Council:

Prior to getting elected to city council, I served more than 33 years with the Columbus Division of Police, retiring in 2012 after 18 years as a commander. I currently chair the city’s Parking and Safety Committee and the city’s Finance Committee. I am also the Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors for the Delaware County Finance Authority (DCFA). DCFA is a county port authority dedicated to encouraging and supporting economic development in Delaware County.

My Priorities:
1. Attainable Workforce Housing: So employees of local businesses can afford to live in Delaware
2. Economic Development along Sawmill Parkway
a. Increase city tax base without burdening citizens
b. Provide local jobs
3. Prioritizing and Improving Street Maintenance
4. Expand Downtown Parking, including Parking Garage
5. Secure a Downtown Hotel
a. Benefits local businesses
b. Benefits OWU
6. Market Airport as Economic Development Attractor
7. Smart, balanced growth

Mayor Carolyn Kay Riggle and I had a great time at the Delaware Performance Car Show today.
My pick for the Vice Mayor’s Award was a 1951 Ford F100 Pickup owned by Jeff Pister from Plain City. An absolutely perfect day for an amazing car show!
Great job to all the organizers for a successful event!

Mayor Riggle and I will have a booth at First Friday tonight. We'll be on Sandusky just south of Winter St. Stop by and say hello, pick up a yard, ask questions, or share ideas. Looking forward to seeing friend and neighbors downtown tonight!

I am happy and proud to announce my candidacy for re-election to an at-large seat on Delaware City Council. It has been an absolute privilege to serve on council since 2013 and serve as vice mayor since 2015. I’m running for re-election because our work is not done. We have made great strides in keeping Delaware a safe and welcoming city. It’s no secret that Delaware continues to grow, and we are meeting those challenges. Next year, we will complete the Point Improvement Project, which will improve traffic flow and help our businesses thrive. I’ve also been part of the team that has revitalizing our downtown and enhanced the park system. I initiated the city’s program to create attainable housing for local workers, and I’ve been a driving force to increase parking availability in our historic downtown. My commitment is to
always look out for the best interests of the people I represent – the citizens of Delaware. I’ll be posting updates and reminders of the progress we’ve made during my tenure as vice mayor. I
appreciate your past support and hope I can count on it again in November.
