Investing in safety means investing in the success of those we serve.

Today, staff from the Defiance County Board of Developmental Disabilities and Good Samaritan School are attending the Ohio School Safety Center, Ohio School '26 Safety Summit at Kalahari Resorts & Conventions. This morning, educator and motivational speaker Marc Mero delivered a powerful presentation to education professionals from across Ohio about the importance of choices and their lasting impact.

This valuable professional development opportunity provides our team with resources, strategies, and connections to help us continue creating safe, supportive, and secure environments for our students and individuals served.

We are committed to continuous learning and bringing back the best practices to strengthen safety throughout our programs and services.

Last night, the Defiance County Board of Developmental Disabilities Community Inclusion Action Group and No Limits celebrated Cinco de Mayo with a fun-filled evening at Kaitlyn's Cottage!

It was a great night of friendship, food, laughter, and community connection. Thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make the evening so special. Events like these remind us how important inclusion and togetherness are in our community!
