Rather than taking responsibility for the challenges facing Illinois, Governor Pritzker continues to point fingers and shift blame. Whether ...

Businesses in Illinois are struggling to make ends meet, thanks to Illinois’ high costs and anti-business policies. Illinois consistently outranks other states in the nation for most business losses per year, and one of the only ways to fix that is to address the affordability crisis driving families and businesses out of our state.

Last week, two grant-awarding agencies announced recipients from the 88th District.

The Illinois State Fire Marshal awarded their 2026 Small Equipment Grants to fire districts/departments and EMS providers across Illinois. Thanks to the passage of SB 2645, volunteer fire departments may be added to this list of qualifying departments, pending the Governor’s signature, and I was glad to support the bill.

The Illinois Department of Natural Resources awarded $495,000 in federal grants to 73 volunteer departments across the state, which included three departments from the 88th district.

Congratulations to the recipients! I thank you for your continued commitment to keeping our communities safe.

A $300 million no-interest county loan program will help local governments relying on tax revenue they won't get on time, but Chicago Public Schools don't qualify for the loans.
