๐ŸŽ“๐Ÿš” CONGRATULATIONS, DEPUTY BAKER!

Weโ€™re proud to recognize A.P. Brewer High School SRO Deputy Joel Baker for earning the National SRO Practitioner designation through the National Association of School Resource Officers (NASRO)!

This designation recognizes School Resource Officers who have demonstrated a significant commitment to advanced training and professional development in school-based law enforcement.

To earn Practitioner status, an SRO must complete:

๐Ÿ”น NASROโ€™s 40-hour Basic SRO Course
๐Ÿ”น 24-hour Advanced SRO or Supervisor Training
๐Ÿ”น Attend a NASRO National Conference
๐Ÿ”น Complete an additional 160 hours of approved training
๐Ÿ”น Maintain active membership with NASRO

That represents more than 220 hours of specialized training and professional development focused on serving students, schools and communities.

NASRO describes the role of an SRO through a three-part approach: Law Enforcement Officer, Public Safety Educator and Informal Counselor/Mentor.

Deputy Bakerโ€™s achievement reflects his commitment to being prepared for each of those roles and to providing the students and staff at A.P. Brewer High School with the highest level of service possible.

Congratulations, Deputy Joel Baker, on this well-earned achievement! ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿพ

๐Ÿ† LIFE SAVING AWARD

Congratulations to two of our Southern Health Partners nurses who work at the Morgan County Jail. They were recently recognized with the Life Saving Award for their actions during a medical incident inside the jail.

Their quick response, training and dedication made a critical difference when it mattered most.

Weโ€™re proud to have dedicated medical professionals like these serving alongside our Corrections staff and caring for those in our custody.

Please join us in congratulating them on this well-deserved recognition! ๐Ÿ‘
