This week, we had the honor of presenting checks to five incredible organizations that are making a difference in our community. Every dollar given, every event attended, every share, prayer, and act of support helped make this possible.
Because of your support, we were able to present each charity with $18,178.93! This year was one filled with impact, generosity, and lives being changed.
WCCA Wise County Committee on Aging will be able to serve 2,050 meals to seniors with this donation. These meals will be able to feed eight seniors, five days of the week, for an entire year.
Wise County Christian Counseling will be able to serve even more hurting adults and children through their many programs.
Wise Choices Pregnancy Resource Center will be able to continue to serve women through their season of pregnancy and beyond, while providing support for dads as well.
Lighthouse Acres Ministries, Inc. will be able to support women as they become mothers in difficult circumstances.
Wise Hope will be able to continue having a hotline for women facing sexual assault and abuse. As Wise County grows, so do their number of calls.
In addition to giving to our five charities, we were also able to serve Sonflower Camp, Made 2 Thrive Baseball, Decatur Parks and Rec, and Character Counts Scholarship.
We had a generous donation of $3,000 to go towards our graduating seniors. Because of this, we were able to present FIVE seniors with scholarships this year. We are looking forward to seeing the great things each of these young women will do! Congratulations Mia Baker, Ava Parker, Megan Schitoskey, Bailey Hughes, and Reagan Joiner!
