If you want to help get kids and their families outside, this is the club for you. We are part of the statewide Leave No Child Inside initiative, and are organizing people in the Miami Valley to get kids outside on a daily basis. We are made up of over 30 agencies and individuals in the Miami Valley dedicated to spreading awareness about the benefits of getting our children outdoors. Mission: The

MVLNCI collaborative engages and empowers our community to make time and create access for outdoor exploration, play and learning. Vision: Children will be healthier, happier, and smarter through outdoor play, exploration and learning. Values:

It is that time of year and they are out!

Ticks are common in natural areas, especially during the warmer months. So, as the weather warms up, we want to remind you:

• Stay on designated trails
• Wear light-colored clothing to make ticks easier to spot
• Use insect repellent if you plan to be in grassy or wooded areas
• Always check yourself, children and pets for ticks after your visits

Take these few simple precautions and be tick smart this season!
