I don't know whether any of y'all have been watching the World Cup soccer matches like I have, but I've thoroughly enjoyed every match that I've gotten to see. We've really shown our visiting neighbors the best that America has to offer, and it's filled me with real, patriotic pride.
There are 48 teams in the World Cup, and probably thousands of videos from folks who have come here to watch the matches. Many have had something in common - what great hospitality they've been shown.
No matter what a certain group in this country says, that just proves more to me that we never needed to 'make America great again'; we already were a great nation. People have said repeatedly that they were told of how bad America was in their home countries, but when they came here, they found that all of the messaging that had scared them came out of a certain Red Hat coalition.
Americans still have great hearts, and still show great hospitality, no matter where you're visiting from. I could not be prouder of the fact that I live in this country, where we still have love and kindness for everyone. We just need to keep on making it happen - that's really what makes our country 'great'.
