Spending my morning with the Cabarrus County Democratic Party - these folks sure know how to put on a breakfast! It was great to get to talk with voters and folks like Thomas Monks 4 North Carolina and hear some of what's been going on that needs to be fixed. This November, remember to get out and vote!

I had the chance to talk with folks from all across our county today, and let me tell you - this is exactly why I love doing this work. Hearing directly from both yours and my neighbors, listening to what’s working, what isn’t, and what people want to see from their elected leaders is how we find real solutions.

And I keep coming back to one thing: we don’t need Washington telling North Carolina how to solve every problem. We know our communities. We know our roads, our schools, our small businesses, our farms, and the folks who get up every morning and go to work to keep this place moving.

I was honored to speak with a lot of folks from Rowan County, WCCB, and the Salisbury Post today regarding HB 328 and the potential h**p ban. Eliminating access to safe h**p products in North Carolina when the industry can be regulated properly and taxed is the wrong path to take - in office I'll support strong regulation, similar to our current regulation for alcohol, but a total ban is not the way to go.

You know, we're not running this campaign for any one person. We're running it for you, your family, and Cabarrus and Rowan Counties. We're tired of the same-old, same-old political nonsense, and I'm ready for some solutions and transparency for a change.
