Weekend Canvassing is 9 and noon today and noon and 3 tomorrow!!!!!!

Julie and Jim Ross are pillars of goodness within our community. There’s rarely a progressive event happening that they aren’t attending, organizing or promoting! And they’ve even been known to show up at a protest. 😂

These two are everywhere and I suspect Julie is the driving force but Jim is her very willing sidekick!
You’ll see them participating in Visibility Brigade actions, at River Bend Food Bank volunteering, making beautiful artwork for protests and demonstrations, assisting the local community of butterflies, and in recent weeks canvassing with us! Julie, in particular, is very persuasive and just has a way with people!!

Please join Julie and Jim and all our other volunteers!! Our volunteers are our lifeline to saving democracy!!!

David Anderson is the volunteer every organization would like..and lucky for us all..he volunteers with a multitude of community groups!

David lives in Davenport and volunteers with us (in coordination with the Scott Co Dems which he’s been working with for years), The Food and Water Watch and way more local organizations. You can find him talking to his community at their doors (canvassing!) most days and definitely on the weekends!

The world would be a better place if everyone who “talked the talk” also “walked the walk” and followed David’s example.

David was honored with the “Rising Star” award at last month’s picnic. It was given to a definite star..although if he’s still rising I would say he’s going to have to learn to live without sleep!! This dude is always volunteering!!
