DRSC's programs and client stories are the are the faces of CAB's Good Times features!

Community Action Board of Santa Cruz County, Inc. (CAB) is the County’s premier agency fighting poverty. Serving 9000+ individuals, CAB facilitates food distribution and health clinics, and runs a teen center and summer recreation program for the isolated north coast. CAB also provides countywide rental assistance, free legal immigration services and employment solutions.

The Davenport Resource Service Center is looking for donations of blankets to be dropped off by DEC 1 at either the Center on 150 Church St. Davenport or the CAB main office in Watsonville or at St. Stephen's Lutheran Church 2500 Soquel Ave in Santa Cruz. The North Coast Teen Center is holding a yard sale fundraiser!! All proceeds will go to support and strengthen teen center activities. You can participate either by coming to the yard sale on Sunday October 5th from 7 am to 2 pm or donating any new or gently used items that you no longer need. Donations Can be dropped of during the centers operation hours Wednesday and Thursday.

The yard Sale will be held at 7 Kerry Ct., Scotts Valley, and hosted by Alta Coffee. All proceeds will go to support and strengthen teen center activities. We hope to see you there!

Last Friday was the last day for Mildred as the North Coast Teen Center coordinator. The center staff and teens will miss her dearly and wish her luck in Washington. While we are sad to see her go we are also delighted to welcome Tere Diaz as the new coordinator! Tere is a Davenport local and was the assistant coordinator for this years successful Summer Recreation program!

The North Coast Teen Center is changing its hours starting this week. The hours will continue to be 4 to 7, with drop off starting at 6:15. The days will now be Monday, Wednesday through Friday. The Teen Center will be closed on Tuesday. The main center hours will continue as is.

We are still looking for tutors for the Homework Club Tutoring Program. For anyone interested in gaining teaching experience and would like to help the students of the Pacific Elementary School. Orientation has been changed to next Thursday the 25th at 3 pm.
