Thank you to everyone who supported me throughout this campaign!
I appreciate every call, text, email, prayers, donations, post shares, and all the encouragement given. This has been a long , hard race and I think I ran it well!
God blessed me to meet so many people, have great conversations, share my passion for my city, and share my faith in God, it was amazing!
I'd be lying if I said I wasn't sad, because I am. I'm sad that our council will continue the same as before. I'm sad the incumbents are not able to pass the baton after several terms served.
I'm sad that we don't think it's necessary to have our council reflect who "we" are as a City.
There are male and female both , trying to survive , doing the work side by side! I'm sad that we still have no female representation for Danville City Council.
No voice or face for young and old women to look up to, depend on and trust. I'm sad that Shakeva Frazier , Petrina Carter McCree , Maureen Belko and Felice McWilliams will not have a chance to serve you.
I am honored to have run this race in the presence of these powerful, intelligent, and inspiring woman.
I don't know what the future holds for any of us or our city, but I want you to know, I will be praying for our leaders here in Danville and our country. I ask you to do the same. We don't have to like or agree with who gets in office , but we all should pray for our leaders. Pray that they lead with the interest of the people at heart!
