As we continue recognizing the people who make Boyle County EMS what it is during National EMS Week, today we want to highlight someone who rarely receives the recognition he deserves — our Medical Director, Dr. Eric Guerrant.

In EMS, it is uncommon to have a Medical Director who is as involved and hands-on as Dr. Guerrant. While many medical directors provide oversight from a distance, Dr. Guerrant routinely responds to critical calls alongside our crews. When the situation is serious and our providers need support, we know we can depend on him to show up.

That level of commitment is rare, and it speaks volumes about the type of physician and leader he is. His dedication to our patients, our providers, and this community goes far beyond the expectations of the role.

Thank you, Dr. Guerrant, for leading from the front and for always being willing to stand beside us when our community needs us most.

From emergency responses and critical patient care to public education and community support, our paramedics and EMTs work tirelessly around the clock to make a difference when seconds matter most.

EMS is more than a career — it is a commitment to compassion, professionalism, and service. We are grateful for the men and women who continue to provide exceptional care to the citizens and visitors of Boyle County.

Thank you to all EMS professionals for your dedication, sacrifice, and unwavering commitment to protecting the health and safety of our community.

Boyle County EMS was proud to attend Allied Health Day at Bluegrass Community & Technical College! It was a great opportunity to connect with students, share information about EMS careers, and highlight the rewarding role emergency medical services plays in our community.

We always appreciate the chance to support future healthcare professionals and showcase the many career paths available in prehospital medicine. Thank you to Bluegrass Community & Technical College for hosting such a great event and investing in the next generation of healthcare providers.

We look forward to continuing to build strong partnerships that help grow the future of emergency medical services and healthcare in Kentucky!

Training this morning with Danville Fire Department on patient extrication. We had the opportunity to prepare for scenarios in which a patient requires assessment and treatment prior to extrication from a vehicle. Thank you Danville Fire for making this training opportunity possible.

We had an incredible time at Career Day at Danville High School!

Major Michael Mattingly and Major Mohammad Shalash were honored to spend the day connecting with students, sharing their experiences, and discussing the many rewarding career paths in emergency services. It’s always inspiring to see the curiosity, enthusiasm, and potential in the next generation.
