This is land where wind mill farm company has had search to put it. Lake Ni**od to the south, Plainview to the west, Ola to the north, and Perry County to the east. Windmill farm will extend into Perry County from my understanding. You will notice highway 7 goes through this windmill farm as you head to Hot Springs

Last week I put out signs around Yell County to remind everyone to complete your personal assessments before May 31. This will save you from getting a 10% late assessment fee. You can drop by our offices at Danville courthouse or Dardanelle annex building, you can call us at 479-495-4857 ext 6 or assess online at countyservice.net and we will email you assessment next business day.

Please be aware of spam emails! We have been notified that someone received an email from us about their assessment with an attachment. They had not assessed yet and called out office to ask if we had sent email which we had not.

We will not send any emails requesting information from you. We do not assess automatically so if you get a completed assessment we did not sent it if you have not assessed. If you have and questions please call our office at 479/495-4857 ext 6.

Because Tuesday is first day of early voting, I would like to inform some voters that don’t know about the recent change in requirements to primary voting. If you want to vote in Republican primary you must be registered as either Republican or Optional. If you don’t know or are unsure of how you are registered you can find out on the Secretary of States web site. Go to the site and click on the Elections tab - then click on For voters - then click on Check Registration Status ( in column on the left) - then type in your name and birthdate and hit lookup. It will say Political Party and underneath that will identify how you are registered. You can also call the circuit clerks office to find out how you are registered to vote. You can change your status by dropping by the circuit clerks office prior to to heading to the polling place. Getting this correct before heading to vote will speed up your voting process.

Please go out and vote because some much treasure has fought for your right to do so. Many in this world do not have this gift to vote.

For everyone that has sustained damage from the winter storm that hit Yell County last week of January 2026, I need you to go to the Yellcountyar.gov website. Once there click on the damage report form red square and fill out information. That list will be forwarded to my office and we can then assess what we can do to lower tax bills for next year. So sorry for those who experienced damage during the storm and let’s stay Yell County Strong! If you have any other questions feel free to call and we will try our best to help.

Due to possibly if black ice and re freezing of roads the Assessor office will open at 10:00 Thursday, January 29. Our employees live quite far put of town and hoping to get temps above freezing before they venture out.Please check to see if revenue office is open tomorrow before coming to town if that is your goal. Remember we can assess you over the phone or online at countyservice.net

Due to the continuing road conditions the Yell County Assessor’s Office will be closed on Tuesday January 27. I’m not going to put my employees at any risk. Hopefully temperature can get above freezing tomorrow and get rid of this mess. Stay safe and warm

Just a heads up to citizens of Yell County, starting January 5 the State of Arkansas Assessor division will be auditing our contract company on real estate. His name is Ryan Gullikson and he will be driving a silver Ford Focus with red state of Arkansas seals on both doors. He will be working all week doing the audit.
