In celebration of Library Card Sign-Up Month, we're looking for original artwork to feature on our next limited-edition library card! If you're a Garland resident or Garland ISD student of any age, this is your chance to show us what the library means to YOU. ❤️

Storytimes at Garland Public Libraries are a fun way for young children to build skills that help prepare them for kindergarten. Through stories, songs, rhymes and activities, children practice listening, build vocabulary, develop early literacy skills and learn how to participate in a group setting — all while having fun!

Beginning October 1, Garland Public Libraries will transition magazines and most newspapers to digital access.

Enjoy magazines through Libby and newspapers through PressReader, free with your Garland Public Library card. 🪪

As the ways our community accesses news and magazines continue to change, we regularly review our collections and services to make sure we’re providing resources that best meet the needs of our community.

The Dallas Morning News will continue to be available in print while we work to provide a digital option.
