Some days we scratch our head and wonder how did we get into this profession. Other days we scratch what itches the most. For some of us we find our therapy in preparing something other than a tax return. Maybe “scratch” biscuits?

Don’t be that person who goes into the grocery store looking for the ingredient “scratch”. Like and follow Texas NATP for tidbits, troubles and tall tales about taxes. Education too. Maybe a recipe.

Do you notice that most tax prep appointments soon became therapy sessions?

Client walks in the office today and says, “I need some spiritual and financial advice.” My first thought was, they are getting a divorce. He put my fears to rest. We had a nice discussion. In the end he accepted my advice.

So, I’m sharing this sage advice with you. “If you want friends and if you want family, don’t go into business with either one.”
