At Family Gateway, Nia’Tiffany found more than shelter; she found a path forward.

Through personalized support and encouragement from our team, she was able to regain stability, return to work, and begin building the future she envisioned for her family.

Today, Nia’Tiffany and her children are living in permanent housing. Most importantly, she knows her children’s story will be different from her own.

“Because of Family Gateway, the cycle of trauma I endured will not be the same for my children.”

Stories like Nia’Tiffany’s remind us that when families have access to support, hope becomes possible.

Homelessness can happen for many reasons—a lost job, a medical crisis, domestic violence, or the rising cost of housing.

Serving families across Dallas and Collin Counties, we provide emergency shelter, housing support, case management, and resources that help parents and children move from crisis to stability.

Every child deserves a safe place to call home.

Moments like these remind us why Family Gateway exists.

At our recent event An Evening with Family Gateway: Have Fun, Do Good!, Deanna Reyna Munoz shared her personal testimony about how Family Gateway impacted her life. Hearing her story firsthand was a powerful reminder of what safe housing, support services, and consistent care can do for families experiencing homelessness.

Her journey reflected resilience, hope, and the real-life change that happens when a community comes together to support one another.
