🚒 Firefighters are currently in the East Dailey area responding to multiple reports of downed power lines and trees blocking roadways.

⚠️ If you encounter a downed line, stay well away from it and call 911 immediately. Never assume a wire is safe—any downed line has the potential to be energized and can be extremely dangerous.

Please use caution while traveling in the area and avoid any roadways affected by debris or utility hazards.

During training, a key was found in the back parking lot. If this is your key, please identify the color of the bottle opener that was attach to it and we will get it back to you. 🔑

Please do not be alarmed if you see fire apparatus operating along the river near the burnt bridge. Members of Tygart Valley Fire Company will be conducting draft operation training exercises.

This training helps our firefighters maintain proficiency in pumping water from natural water sources during emergencies.

⚠️Turn Around, Don't Drown⚠️

Heavy rain can quickly turn roads into dangerous flood zones. Just 6 inches of moving water can knock an adult off their feet, and as little as 12 inches of water can carry away a vehicle.

The Valley Bend Road (Across from the Valley Bend Post Office), East Dailey Road, and the Back Road coming out of Mill Creek are all experiencing flood conditions. Please use the alternate route around the back road by the Burnt Bridge to acress the East Dailey Shaffers Run areas.

📍Never drive through flooded roadways
📍You can't always see how deep the water is
📍Roads may be washed out beneath the surface
📍If you encounter flooding seak high ground

Please slow down, stay alert, and find an alternate route. No destination is worth risking your life
