I am so pleased and excited to announce it is that time of year again when we the Col Lawrence E. Roberts Chapter
(Gulf Coast Chapter) of the Tuskegee Airmen in conjunction with our National Headquarters present the opportunity
for ALL eligible high school senior students across the State of Mississippi to apply for our scholarship programs.
Our scholarships are not limited by ethnicity, creed, religion, s*x or culture.
The primary goal of the Col Lawrence E. Roberts Chapter is to raise awareness/interest in the aviation,
aerospace fields and careers. The scholarship can be used even if student is not pursuing one of aforementioned
fields of study. As long as the student has registered at an institution of higher learning in any state, they are
eligible.
The Chapter strives to educate the public about the Tuskegee Airmen, Inc. by participating in community activities
and events. Our members take pride in their knowledge and the heritage of this organization utilizing all avenues
possible to spread the word. Membership in our organization is also open to anyone who wishes to perpetuate the
values embodied by the Tuskegee Airmen and educate their community and ultimately provide an educational
funding opportunity for high school students in their community. Please email our chapter at

This year the Colonel Lawrence E. Roberts Chapter in conjunction with our National Headquarters, will award
scholarships to deserving future college students. Winners will be selected from all packages received. Please note
that by submitting this one application, the student is eligible for an award from two funding sources. The National
Headquarters has available 40 ($1500) awards to dispense nationwide. The local Lawrence E. Roberts Chapter will
dispense awards ranging from ($250 - $1000) depending on budget. Applications are REQUIRED to be MAILED
to the chapter mailing address on the application and arrive By MONDAY 27 January 2025. Notifications to
recipients and non-recipients will be made NLT 30 May 2025. All Winners are REQUIRED to attend the local
Awards Luncheon or forfeit their award. The Time, date and location of the Awards luncheon will be announced at
a later date.
Please see the attached application, (Form 62), along with supplied additional instructions checklist, as to what is
REQUIRED of each student. Missing documents and formatting errors will lower applicants score.
