Today we lay a brother to rest. Alan your missed dearly. Tho your not here we know your watching over us. You weren't only a great fire fighter, you were a great friend, husband, and the best dad. Your smile will be missed around the firehall, work, around town, and the softball fields. Keep us safe buddy.

The Cuyuna Fire Department and Cuyuna Police Department have released the February patch which is “Heart Themed” with a light touch of Valentines in them. We are focusing this fundraiser on “Heart Health” and all proceeds are being donated to the Ross Lake First Responders organization to help purchase a new Automated External Defibrillator (AED). This project is sponsored by the Cuyuna Fire Department Relief Association.

Anyone interested in purchasing a heart themed police or fire patch they are being sold for $10.00 per patch. If you want to purchase a patch please email the Cuyuna Police Department at [email protected] and reserve your patches and confirm we have patches left. After you get confirmation that your patches are reserved please mail a self addressed and pre postage envelope (1 stamp per patch) to the Cuyuna Police Department- P.O. Box 536 - Deerwood, MN 56444. Also send cash, check or money order. All checks make out to the “Cuyuna Fire Department Relief Association “.

Let’s raise some money and get Ross Lake 1st Responders Organization a brand new AED to save lives!!

We do have some January (New Year’s themed police & fire patches) left as well. We are completely sold out of the December (Christmas themed patches).

The Cuyuna Police Department and Cuyuna Fire Department are proud to announce that we are releasing a "New Year" themed patch for each department. You can see by the pictures that the Fire and Police are a little different. We are selling them for $10.00 per patch and all proceeds will be donated to our local "Cuyuna Range Food Shelf".

If you're interested in either a police or fire patch please email Chief Jesse Smith of the Cuyuna Police Department at [email protected]. Please email us first to reserve your patches to make sure we still have some to sell. After you reserve your patches please mail a self addressed envelope with either a check or cash to the Cuyuna Police Department - P.O. Box 536 - Deerwood, MN 56444. Please make all checks to the "Cuyuna Range Food Shelf". If you are wondering about postage, put one stamp on the envelope per patch you order and that should cover it.

Fireman Jake Kewatt who has been instrumental in assisting in the design of the patches will be selling both Fire and Police patches in person so feel free to contact him if you're in the area.

Please don't send any money and patch orders until we have confirmed we have the patches for you. Hurry and place your order. Our Christmas themed patches went very quickly.

Chief Jesse Smith on behalf of the Cuyuna Police Department and Fire Chief Karl Hasskamp on behalf of the Cuyuna Fire Department would like to thank everyone for your support in donating money to a good cause!
