Lightning Troop, 2-16 CAV, ABOLC Lightning Troop, 2-16 CAV trains new Armor Officers on the M1A2 Abrams Tank and it's weapon systems.

Under the Command of CPT Retzlaff, responsibility of 1SG Leyva and by way of our utmost technically proficient NCOs, Lightning Troop trains the US Army's future Armor Officers on the M1A2 Abrams tank and the utilization of it's weapon systems to destroy the enemy on the battlefield. As the second phase in the ABOLC Program of Instruction, L Troop blocks of instructions consist of Gunnery Skills Tests, Ammo / Vehicle ID, Primary Maintenance Checks and Services on the M1A2 Abrams, Tank Table III thru Tank Table VI.
