Currituck County Department of Fire and EMS Positive, Progressive and Professional in Service

The Currituck County Department of Fire and EMS is an all-hazards volunteer/career fire and emergency medical services department in northeastern, North Carolina. The Department provides Paramedic level Advanced Life Support response to the mainland, Outer Banks and Knotts Island areas of Currituck County. The Department provides primary fire suppression response, alongside our volunteer partners,

in Corolla and Knotts Island, and supplements the volunteer fire departments of the Currituck mainland by engaging in an “all hazards” response model, including the operation of apparatus, interior fire suppression, incident command, et cetera. Currituck County Department of Fire and EMS remains committed to our mantra, “Positive, Progressive and Professional in Service”.
