A very BIG thank you to CENTIER BANK for making a generous donation of $2000 on behalf of the Lake County Treasurer's Office to the BROTHERS KEEPER shelter in Gary. CENTIER BANK contacted us a few months ago and indicated that they wanted to make a donation in our name to a charity of our choice. We chose BROTHERS KEEPER because we are aware of the great work that they do for the homeless and those with no place to lay their head in a safe secure environment. Thank you CENTIER BANK for being a wonderful partner to the region and a generous benefactor to those in need .....

This month .. the staff of the Lake County Treasurer's Office made their on going charitable contribution to the Hobart Humane Society. The money for these donations are chipped in by the employees. The Treasurer's staff does this several times during the year and working with them I can tell you they are a wonderful bunch of people worthy of their positions in public service. This time however , we also had County employees from other departments donate food and cash for this effort. Thank you to all who helped out. God bless you always.
