June 2, 2026 Statewide Direct Primary Election - Release 1

The Del Norte County Elections Office has released the first set of unofficial results for the June 2, 2026, Statewide Direct Primary Election.

This initial update, represents vote-by-mail ballots that have been successfully received and verified by elections staff prior to the close of polls. At this stage, polling place ballots from the county’s 19 precincts have not yet been processed or included in the totals.

Change is coming to Del Norte County’s digital space. To comply with federal and state guidelines, we are securing an official, verified .gov domain name. A .gov domain reassures the public that they are interacting with an official, trusted government source. Now, we just need to decide what comes before the ".gov"—and we want it to be easy to say, type, and promote.

How .gov Names Work (The Rules)
Official .gov names are tightly regulated by the federal Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) to prevent fraud.

Our options must comply with the following format guidelines:
*Clear Identification: The name must explicitly represent our county and cannot be a generic phrase.
*No Special Characters: The format should avoid dashes, hyphens, or numbers, as they are hard to say out loud and easy to forget.
*No Confusing Initials: The name must be recognizable; short, ambiguous acronyms that could confuse the public will be rejected by federal regulators.

Your voice matters! Join us for an upcoming public outreach meeting as the County works on its ADA Self-Evaluation and Transition Plan—an important effort to ensure programs, services, and facilities are accessible to everyone.

This session is an opportunity for community members, especially individuals with disabilities, to share experiences, identify barriers, and help shape solutions that improve accessibility across the County.
