Y’all, meet Josh!

Born and raised in Tallahassee, our token mustached man graduated from Lincoln High School and went on to serve his community as a paramedic with Leon County EMS.

With 9 years of experience as a paramedic, Josh is also part of the Leon County EMS Critical Care Team and serves as a SWAT Medic with the Leon County Sheriff’s Office SWAT Team when he isn’t on shift at AirLife 1.

When he’s not working, you can find Josh enjoying long walks on the Miccosukee Greenway with his dog, Clifford, putting in work at the gym, competing in local shooting competitions, or—more recently—crocheting (ask us how we know).

As one of the OGs of AirLife 1, Josh is the definition of calm, cool, and collected. He helps keep our team together better than his mustache wax keeps that mustache in place.

One of the hardest parts of transitioning to HEMS is learning how to safely operate in and around an aircraft. 🚁

Our flight crews receive extensive training during initial orientation and 3rd seat orientation, with a strong focus on crew resource management, aircraft operations, and maintaining situational awareness around the aircraft.

The lives lost, the families forever changed, and those who ran toward danger when others were running away.

Everyday, we strive to honor those who gave everything by continuing to serve with that same spirit… the spirit of courage, sacrifice, and commitment.

Being proud to be an American isn’t just something we say on September 11th. It’s something we carry everyday.

While many are enjoying a long weekend, there are crews working around the clock to keep their communities safe, and we’re proud to be one of them.
