Shoutout to Forward Focus for putting our amazing CTE students in the spotlight! Ann and Nora are out here proving that CTE is more than classes — it’s a career launchpad! Ann attended Cat-South’s Certified Clinical Medical Assistant & Certified Nursing Assistant Career Institutes graduating with 3 healthcare certifications and heading to UCONN for nursing, and Nora is taking her Project Lead the Way engineering skills from Severna Park High straight to UMD. 🏆 Huge congratulations to our incredible Central Middle MESA students who completed in the MESA State Competition! 🧠🚀

✨ 1st Place – Wearable Tech Competition
Ava Dominguez, Brook Graham, and Aria Fifer engineered a wearable device designed to monitor athletes for signs of heat exhaustion and alert them when it’s time to cool down.

✨ 3rd Place – Planetary Lander Competition
Emily Wirzburger, Tiffany Diaz, Elyse Bevers, and Brooklyn P***k designed a lightweight yet protective lander to safely deliver astronauts to another world.

These students used the engineering design process to solve real-world problems through creativity, teamwork, and innovation. We are so proud of their hard work and success! 👏

Apprentice in the Mentorship Program Office
Apprentice in the HPED, Visual Arts & Music Office
Apprentice in the School & Family Office
Apprentice in the Career & Technical Education Office (ideally with experience in Video Production using Premiere Pro) 🎥

450 total hours (beginning mid-October)

Real-world experience within AACPS departments
Must have a partial school schedule
