I’d like to take a second and thank everyone that came out for the ribbon cutting and grand opening for the new City Hall! We loved seeing everyone and even met a few new folks! We are very excited to finally have “the heart of the city” in the heart of the city. We had a wonderful turn out and a very productive meeting afterwords. Special thanks to Ashley and Pepper for organizing this event. Katie Church(chamber of commerce) for suggesting a ribbon cutting ceremony. Great West Engineering for donating the Hotdogs, Buns, condiments and water. My mother for making up her famous potatoe salad. My wife and Pepper for the baked goods. Thank you all and thank the community for making this a success!🙏🏻

Two friendly reminders:

The open house for new City Hall is today from 4 to 6 PM. Everyone is invited and we look forward to seeing you all there! Come get a bite to eat, have a great conversation and check out the new building! We will be blocking off the front parking lot for the shindig. Parking will be on the side in the gravel lot. 

Secondly, our regularly scheduled monthly City council meeting is at 6:30 following the open house. Our City attorney will be giving a presentation on a local option tax we are introducing. It is very important to understand why/how this local option tax will benefit our city, community and its residents. Please come and listen!

Fantastic!!! I couldn’t be more proud! Congratulations to the Chamber of Commerce and the City of Council! We were featured in a New York Times article for our local soap box derby!! The chamber has been working around the clock to make the America 250 celebration one for the record books and by golly they have knocked this one out of the park thus far!!! BZ to Katie Church and all involved!! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

A massive thank you to Shane Ogden for his generosity and patriotism. Shane came to the city council meeting in June proposing a new lighted flag pole for the museum. He came with a flawless plan that we absolutely could not say no to, especially at no cost to the city. As soon as he got the green light he put his own blood, sweat, tears and cash towards this project and executed it perfectly, with haste! Just in time for Councils epic 4th celebration. I literally cannot thank and be more proud of this local patriot and his dedication to our beloved city!! Let’s all follow suit. I could not be happier with this projects debut!!! Bravo Zulu Shane and thank you from the bottom of the city’s heart!!

I want to personally give a tremendous thank you to Ted Demery/Ridge Country Underground, Cambridge Telephone Company (CTC), Reed Henderson/West Side Enterprises, and Western Timber Products.

Ted has donated well over 20 hours of his time and equipment to Boise Cascade Park, mowing around the pond, the field, and spreading rock on the road.

CTC donated $1,000 worth of road mix to put on the park road. Reed Henderson donated a load of road mix.

Western Timber Products donated two loads of road mix.

The pond/park looks absolutely amazing thanks to the selfless contributions to this city we all love!

**GRAND OPENING**
Join us Wednesday July 15th from 4pm-6pm! All welcome! Our engineering team with Great West will be sponsoring hotdogs with various sides. Come get a dog, have a conversation and take a look at our new location. We are very excited to see you all there! Our regularly scheduled city council meeting will follow at 6:30pm.
