I wanted to make the residents of Cottleville aware of a couple of items that are in process right now. As always, your Mayor, and Aldermen, work for you, and constructive discussion from our residents is appreciated. Please visit the City of Cottleville website for information and meeting schedule. There are citizen comments allowed at the BOA meetings - fill out the comment form at the table when you walk in, and give them to the City Clerk before the meeting. We welcome your feedback on these, and any other items at our meetings. Thank You!

Amazing singer that I had the pleasure of presenting a city Proclamation from St Peters and Cottleville to. She's an amazing person as well, and wise beyond her years. Role model for kids of this generation 👍👍

The Certificate of Appropriateness process exists for a reason: to preserve the character, history, and visual integrity of our Old Town Historic District while ensuring thoughtful, consistent growth. It is not meant to be a formality after work is completed, but rather a proactive step that guides decisions before changes are made.

When improvements or installations occur prior to review and approval, it undermines the purpose of the process and the standards that have been carefully established through a transparent, democratic and community-driven approach. These standards reflect the shared vision of our residents and business owners. We are proud to be a vibrant and growing city, located among some of the most highly regarded communities in the nation.

If changes to code are needed, there is a clear path to make them; but bypassing the process is not the way forward. Collaboration and dialogue are always welcome.
