This is the only social media organ that I share information about City of Cottage Grove City Council from my perspective as your elected representative for Ward 3 - basically the southwest quarter of Cottage Grove. Anything connected to City business I will post here and I request that you do as well. Please direct your questions, comments, or concerns on City business here and not to my person

City Council meeting, Monday, June 8, 7pm. Here is the synopsis of the Agenda items: Special presentation - Cottage Grove Police Department and South Lane Fire & Rescue Recognition
Two public hearings:
(a) Public Hearing for Uses of State Shared Revenue for Fiscal Year 2026-27
(b) Budget Hearing for Fiscal Year 2026-27 Approved Budget. Cancellation of City Council July 27 Meeting (Eugene Symphony concert), Cottage Grove Garbage Service - Glass Recycling, Concerns from Council, Finally convening the Urban Renewal District including a Public Hearing.

Interested in running for local office?

Three seats on the Cottage Grove City Council and the office of Mayor will be on the ballot in the November 3, 2026, General Election.

Individuals interested in filing for any of these positions should contact Mindy Roberts, City Elections Official, at 541-767-4112.

The filing period opens June 3, 2026. The deadline to file is August 18, 2026 for incumbents and August 25, 2026 for all other candidates

The next City Council meeting was moved to Tuesday, May 26, due to Memorial Day. It will still start at 7pm at the City Hall as usual. On the docket is the annual renewal of the local liquor licenses, discussion of the City Fee schedule to include a RV dump fee at the Waste water Treatment facility since the Masonic Hall dump site is closed, along with the usual other routine stuff. Tuesday, May 19, 6pm untill…….. What could be the final 2026/27 Budget Committee Meeting. Sticking points are what funding model will be acceptable for the Library and Community Promotions. Ther will be an opportunity for public comment if you wait til the end.. Meeting starts at 6pm in City Hall 400 E Main Street

Starting Thursday, May 14th, the City of Cottage Grove will officially open an RV Dump Station at the Water Reclamation Facility.

1800 N. Douglas Street, Cottage Grove, OR

📞 Please call ahead to let staff know you’re on your way.
🕒 Dump Hours:

• Monday–Friday: 8:00 AM – 3:00 PM
• Weekends: Noon – 2:00 PM
• Closed on holidays

💵 Fee: $20.00 — Cash only (no change available)

🧪 A sample test is required prior to dumping.

Join us in celebrating the Grand Opening of Historic Downtown Cottage Grove. We are excited to welcome the community for a day of celebration.

Please note the following important traffic and event information for the day:
- The Gran Fondo bike race will begin at 8:30 AM with a police es**rt traveling from Bohemia Park to CG Lorane Road.
- Main Street will be closed following the parade until approximately 3:00 PM.
- Downtown event setup will begin immediately after the parade and continue until approximately 11:00 AM when the event opens to the community.

We encourage everyone to plan ahead for temporary street closures and come enjoy the excitement downtown.

We look forward to seeing you in Historic Downtown Cottage Grove!

The next City Council will be held Monday May 11, City Hall, 7pm, with a 6:30pm Executive Session. The docket includes: Presentation from CGGarbage (new policies &pickup procedures), introducing new HR Director, revising Resolution #2001. amending Housing Development Cost Assistance Proram, City wide Cleanup, resheduling City Council meeting that would fall on Memorial Day, and the other routine tasks of governance.
