Vicente Ortiz Jr – End of Watch – June 1, 2024

Please take a moment and remember Senior Officer Vicente Ortiz Jr. Please keep Vince’s family in your thoughts and prayers, as today marks the two-year anniversary of his End of Watch. Vince was the 17th CCPD officer killed in the Line of Duty while serving and protecting the City of Corpus Christi. May God find peace for Vince, his family and the entire CCPD family during this difficult time.

On May 21, 2024, Senior Officer Ortiz was escorting a funeral procession on his police motorcycle and was struck by a vehicle. Senior Officer Ortiz was transported to a local hospital and passed away from his injuries ten days later.

Vince served the Corpus Christi Police Department for 15 years. He is survived by his wife and two children.

UPDATE: Xavier has been located.

The Corpus Christi Police Department is asking for assistance in locating missing person, Xavier Narvaiz (49).

Xavier was recently reported missing by family.

Xavier is described as a Hispanic male, who is 5’08” tall, weighs approx. 185 pounds, and has short brown hair and green eyes. Xavier has several tattoos.

This is a great introduction to the program and is open to young men and women ages 14-20 (who have completed 8th grade). This is an excellent opportunity to learn and grow alongside Corpus Christi PD Officers and fellow explorers! This week will include CPR certification, introduction to defensive tactics, ride-a-longs, and so much more!
