The City of New Cordell is in the process of applying for a REAP grant an opportunity to bring meaningful improvements to our community. This grant can help fund important projects like infrastructure improvements.
🗓️ Public Hearing: Monday, September 21, 2026, at 6:00 p.m.
📍 Cordell Community Center, 101 East Main, Cordell
The purpose of the hearing is to discuss the possibility of the City submitting an application to the South West Oklahoma Development Authority for assistance under the Rural Economic Action Plan (REAP) Grant.
What kinds of projects would make a big impact on our community's future?
Come share your ideas in person, or let City Hall know.

Contractors will be replacing water valves Monday August 10th at 8pm this is expected to cause localized low water pressure and possible water outages.

Crews will be actively working to restore water service as quickly as possible.

We apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate your patience while repairs are being completed.

Announcement – Possible Low Water Pressure or No Water
Residents and businesses may experience low water pressure or no water beginning Wednesday at 11:00 p.m. and continuing until approximately 4:00 a.m. Thursday morning.
The City has a contractor in town continuing work to install new water valves and replace older valves. These improvements will help the City better isolate sections of the water system during future leaks or water breaks, which should help reduce the number of customers affected during repairs.
We appreciate everyone’s patience and understanding while this important water system improvement work is completed.
